ASP Member-Producers process a wide variety of seafood products from the cold, clean waters of Newfoundland & Labrador. Producers source from sustainable fisheries and work hard to maintain the high-quality expected in premium international markets. The majority of our production value and volume comes from MSC certified fisheries.

- ASP Members consist of 14 companies with 40 processing facilities.
- Members include mostly family-owned, large, medium and small producers, including two producers owned by independent fish harvesters.
- Production value in 2018 was in excess of $750 million.
- Members produce:
- 90% of the snow crab and coldwater shrimp from inshore fisheries
- 80% of the province’s wild catch production sales values
- 75% of the total sales values of seafood products in the province
- 100% of the clams produced in the province.
- Members produce:
- ASP members employ over 5000 people, almost all in rural Newfoundland and Labrador
- ASP members buy from over 8000 independent fishers in the inshore fishery in our province.
